Riverside Oceanic provides marine solutions to the Australian and International hydrographic and marine research community. Our vessels provide a new standard in quality and flexibility for a hydrographic, oceanographic, geophysical, geotechnical, environment and site inspection surveys.
These vessels are supported by an experienced shore team and crew to provide specialised support the development and execution of successful projects.
Our vessels are managed by mariners through a partnership structure which allows our crews to operate the vessels as their own. Together we are invested in our client’s success, and the future of our oceans.
We have been the main marine partner for the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) for more than 20 years.
Based in Townsville, Riverside Oceanic operates across Australia and the South Pacific.

This vessel is an experienced hydrographic vessel based in Townsville, and was recently deployed in the Great Barrier Reef for a significant marine research project.

Riverside Ranger
Built in 2016, this aluminium multipurpose catamaran is a versatile and highly capable vessel, designed to support a wide range of marine projects including hydrography, oil & gas operations and autonomous support.
